The 2022 Chevy Trax is a small subcompact SUV that has much to offer. This year, the 2022 Trax has changed its mechanical system, the only significant update from 2021. This year, the Trax gets a new base engine that has higher power output. The latest engine for the Trax is capable of 155 HP, which is considerably more than the previous power output of 138 HP in 2021. The Chevy Trax comes in two trim levels. You will get many standard components for both, and the Trax also comes with standard or optional packages based on the trim you decide to get.

2022 Trax Trims and Features

The 2022 Chevy Trax is available as the LS or the LT. The LS has many standard amenities that make for a more comfortable, relaxing, and enjoyable ride. A WiFi hotspot is included if you want to keep your devices plugged in and ready to use on the road. Android Auto and Apple CarPlay are also standard. For sound, the LS has a stereo system with six speakers. A split-folding second-row seat is standard on the 2022 Trax so that you can create as much space as needed for people or cargo. Both trim levels have a 12V power charging outlet, and the top trim also has a 120V power outlet. Manually adjustable seats for the driver and front passenger are standard. A six-speaker audio system is also included on the LS and the LT. A cabin air filter is standard as well, and the 2022 Trax comes with a digital compass. Both trims have cargo area lighting for safety, and you can get a cargo area organizer or a cargo package for either trim. A cargo mat and tray are also available, and you'll get four cargo tie-downs.

The 2022 Chevy Trax gives you a choice between front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive. The Trax has a stronger engine this year that is capable of producing up to 155 HP. You'll get 177 LB-FT in torque with the new base engine. A six-speed transmission comes with the engine on both trim levels. The Trax also excels in the area of fuel economy. Skid plates are added to the top trim level, and you'll get electronic stability control with both.

Chevy Trax Safety

For safety, the base and top trims of the Trax both have numerous airbags across the cabin. They are both equipped with a rear vision camera. Rear parking assist is optional on the top trim level.
