What's New For the 2022 Chevrolet Bolt?
The 2022 Chevy Bolt returns with a fresh new design and many notable updates in 2022. This year's Bolt is still produced as an electric vehicle (EV) hatchback. For the first time, the Bolt is also available as a EUV, which is a variation of the Bolt that runs entirely on electricity. The Chevy Bolt and Bolt EUV both get distinctive styling and a well-equipped interior with plenty of safety features, technology, and creature comforts. As to be expected with an electric-based powertrain, the Bolt also excels in fuel economy and range.
Which Features Are Available for 2022?
The Chevy Bolt EV is produced in two trims in 2022: the 1LT and the 2LT. The 1LT comes with LED headlights for safety and a more visible exterior. It also has wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay with smartphone pairing capabilities on a 10.25-inch central display. Cloth seats are standard on this trim. The 1LT also has a backup camera with an HD display. The 2LT trim has these conveniences along with roof rails and a hands-free liftgate. It also upgrades to leather upholstery.
The base trim on the Bolt EUV also comes with a 10.2-inch touchscreen display with a modern infotainment system. Wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay are also standard. More tech features are available, including a Wi-Fi hotspot and a wireless charging pad. The Premier trim, second in the lineup, comes with leather upholstery and more safety technology. The top trim adds an illuminated charging cord, custom wheels, and distinctive exterior badges. It also has a panoramic sunroof.

Featuring Great Performance
The 2022 Chevy Bolt EV has the same mechanical system for both trims. The Bolt includes an electric motor that is paired with a battery pack. Together, they give the Bolt EV a power rating of up to 200 HP and 266 LB-FT in torque. Front-wheel drive is standard. The Bolt EV gets nearly 260 miles of electric range. The Bolt EUV has the same electric base motor. It also uses a 65-kWh battery made of lithium-ion. The Bolt EUV gets about 250 miles of all-electric range.
Chevy Bolt Safety Features
The Chevrolet Bolt comes standard with Chevy Safety Assist technology for the 2022 model year. This comprehensive safety package includes six key advanced safety aids: front pedestrian braking, forward collision alert, automatic emergency braking, a following distance indicator, lane-keep assist, and high beam assist.
