2017 Chevy Tahoe Overview
Ranked above all large SUVs in the J.D. Power 2016 U.S. Initial Quality Study, the 2017 Chevy Tahoe in Springfield is a standout model. It comes with brand-new front active aero shutters that enhance its aerodynamics this year, along with a number of fresh technologies that boost in-car entertainment and safety. A new trim level has also been introduced to the lineup, replacing one of the previous trims. Take a look at our 2017 Chevy Tahoe review below to learn about the latest trim and other new features.

Updates & Trim Levels
LS, LT and Premier trims round out the Tahoe's roster for 2017. The Premier serves as a replacement for the LTZ, which was offered on last year's model. Each trim can be draped in one of two new exterior colors: Pepperdust Metallic and Blue Velvet Metallic. Other exterior paint options offered on previous models are also available.
New on the 2017 Chevy Tahoe in Springfield is an updated version Chevy MyLink with Rear Seat Reminder Customization and in-vehicle shopping apps. The available rear seat entertainment system has also been modified and now offers digital headphones and device projection, an extra USB port, a video voiceover for the hearing and visually impaired and an HDMI/MHL connector.
The Premier trim adds leather-trimmed heated/ventilated front seats, available 22-inch wheel designs, Magnetic Ride Control suspension, keyless ignition/entry, front parking sensor and a wireless charging pad. Additional components offered with the Luxury Package can also be found on the model.
5.3L V8 Engine
Generating 355 horsepower and 383 lb.-ft. of torque, the Tahoe's 5.3L V8 engine is a powerful piece of machinery. It comes matched to a six-speed automatic transmission and can support an 8,600-pound towing capacity when equipped with rear-wheel drive. Additionally, it helps deliver a best-in-class EPA-estimated 23 mpg highway.
Safety Technologies
Parents with teens will love the new Teen Driver feature offered on the Tahoe. It lets them monitor their child's max speed, distance traveled and number of safety features activated when behind the wheel of the SUV. Parents can even set parameters in order to encourage good driving habits.
Aside from this new feature, the SUV is also available with Low Speed Forward Automatic Braking this year, which has been noted in multiple 2017 Chevy Tahoe reviews.
