The Chevrolet Suburban is a popular large SUV known for its size, engine performance, interior features, and overall reliability. A Suburban today can last for a long time, but regular maintenance is needed to keep it running well. There is a recommended Chevrolet scheduled maintenance plan, which should be followed to keep your Suburban in top overall condition.
Every 7,500 Miles
One crucial part of your Suburban service is to come in for routine maintenance and service every 7,500 miles, or at least twice per year. During this service, you will receive a tire rotation, oil change, fluid check and top-off, and complete vehicle inspection service.
22,500-Mile Service
At the 22,500-mile mark, you will receive the standard 7,500-mile service and some additional services. You will typically receive a new cabin air filter and engine air filter during this Chevy maintenance schedule visit if they have not been replaced already.
45,000-Mile Service
This is one of the major vehicle service intervals for the Chevy Suburban. Along with this service, you will receive filter replacements, a transmission fluid exchange service, a change of the transfer case fluid, and a full inspection of the evaporative control system.
90,000-Mile Service
The 90,000-mile service is very similar to the 45,000-mile service as you will also have your important vehicle fluids replaced. This includes replacing your transmission, brake, transfer case, and oil fluids. During this time, it is also common to have your spark plugs tested and replaced as part of your Chevrolet service schedule.
150,000-Mile Service
It is very common for a Suburban to still be on the road even after putting on 150,000 miles. At this point, you will need some additional services as well. These can include draining and filling your engine cooling system or inspecting your engine accessory drive belts as recommended by the factory scheduled maintenance Chevy guidelines.
