Chevrolet includes warranties for new vehicles sold after a specific model year. Chevrolet's warranties cover the cost of replacing components that breakdown due to faulty workmanship or are defective during normal use. All warranties cover replacements for all original equipment manufacturer (OEM) parts that are in your vehicle. Along with the standard factory warranties that it has for new models, Chevrolet offers more protection plans that can be purchased for even more coverage. Supplemental plans are also an option for older Chevrolet vehicles not covered through the new vehicle warranties.
Bumper-to-Bumper Limited Warranty
The Bumper-to-Bumper warranty is effective when you first purchase or lease your Chevrolet. This warranty lasts up to 36,000 miles or three years, whichever first. All expenses related to parts replacement and repair are covered, provided parts are either faulty or break due to problems with material or craftsmanship during this period.
Powertrain Limited Warranty
Chevrolet's Powertrain Limited Warranty lasts up to five years or 60,000 miles and covers most Chevy vehicles. It also covers the 2020 1500 series of light-duty trucks and the 2500 and 3500 Heavy Duty series pickups for 5 years or 100,000 miles, whichever comes first.
The Powertrain Limited Warranty lasts up to 5 years or 100,000 miles on qualified commercial fleet vehicles as well. If you have questions about the warranty's coverage or want to know how long your car is covered for, don't hesitate to us.
Hybrid and Electric Warranty
Along with the standard Bumper-to-Bumper warranty, Chevrolet equips its hybrid and electric cars with a separate Hybrid and Electric Warranty. This warranty covers certain car parts that need to be replaced in eight years or 100,000 miles, whichever comes first.
Emissions Control Limited Warranty
The Emissions Limited Warranty offers bumper-to-bumper coverage for a Chevrolet that encounters emissions problems due to an issue with material or craftsmanship. The Emissions Limited Warranty covers light-duty trucks for up to five years or 50,000 miles. Other cars are covered for two to three years, which equates to 24,000 to 36,000 miles, whichever comes first. Along with the federal emissions warranty, Chevrolet has separate warranty coverage for cars in California.
Additional Protection Plans
In addition to its standard factory warranties, Chevrolet has more protection plans for those who want or need extra coverage. These plans include extended service contracts, GAP coverage, lease damage coverage, and warranties for older models.
