What's New For the 2020 Chevrolet Impala?

The 2020 Chevrolet Impala LT trim now comes standard with the V6 engine. The 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine and the LS trim have been discontinued. Some standalone options and packages are also no longer available.

The 2020 Chevrolet Impala is available in the LT, and Premier trims. The LT comes well-equipped with rear air vents, satellite radio, 18-inch alloy wheels, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, heated exterior mirrors, a six-speaker sound system, remote engine start, two USB ports, keyless entry and ignition, an 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment display, automatic dual-zone climate control, cloth, and faux-leather upholstery, and a power driver's seat. The optional Convenience package adds an auto-dimming rearview mirror, heated front seats, a 120-volt household-style power receptacle, and a heated steering wheel.

The Premier steps up to 19-inch alloy wheels, leather upholstery, a premium 11-speaker Bose CD player sound system, exclusive exterior accents, GPS navigation, xenon headlights, ambient cabin lighting, a wireless charging pad, and a power passenger seat. The Convenience package also comes standard. You can also add a sunroof.

The available Premier Convenience package adds a power-adjustable and heated steering wheel, an auto-dimming driver-side mirror, ventilated front seats, driver-seat memory settings, and an auto-dimming rearview mirror. The Premier Confidence package upgrades to 20-inch alloy wheels and some additional driver safety aids.

How Well does the 2020 Impala Perform?

Both Chevrolet Impala trims are powered by a 3.6-liter V6 engine that delivers 305 hp and 264 lb-ft of torque to a six-speed automatic transmission that spins the front wheels. The engine is efficient and responsive. The Impala can accelerate from 0-60 mph in 6.7 seconds. It can come to a full stop from this speed within 120 feet. The Impala has an EPA fuel rating of 19 mpg city/28 highway.
