What's New For The 2019 Chevy Traverse?

As you scour the market to find a quality mid-size crossover SUV to purchase soon, your attention may justifiably be drawn to the Traverse. The Chevy Traverse has been a leading contender in this area of the automotive market since it was unveiled to consumers during the 2009 model year, and it continues to give drivers plenty to be excited about. Last year's model ushered in a new generation with many impressive updates.

Because the vehicle was overhauled dramatically last year, there have only been a handful of updates to the interior of the 2019 Chevy Traverse. This includes the replacement of the Saddle Brown color with Havana Brown as a new exterior color option. In addition, the appealing Blackout Package is now available upon request for Premium, LT and LS trims only. For all five trims, the Roadside Assistance is optional. Comparing all trims and seeing what this SUV can do on the road is easy to do when you drop by Reliable Chevrolet  for a test drive.

Which Trims and Interior Features are Available for 2019?

While it may be easy to decide that the 2019 Chevy Traverse is the right SUV to drive home today, selecting the trim that is most appealing may be a more difficult task. All trims for this model year have been well-appointed with thoughtful features.

Standard features at the base trim level include power windows, power door locks, bench-style seats in the second and third rows, climate control, a color touchscreen display for the infotainment feature, a sound system, cruise control and a few other features.

If you look at the highest trim level, the Premium comes with fog lights, deep-tint glass, LED Intellibeam headlights as an option, powered side mirrors with body coloring, heated rear and front seats, bucket seats for the second row, a larger touchscreen display paired with a navigation system, a wireless charging station, a heavy-duty engine cooling system and larger 20-inch all-season tires.

Does the 2019 Traverse Have a Powerful Engine?

2019 Chevy TraverseIn addition to being well-appointed with thoughtful features at all trim levels the 2019 Chevy Traverse also delivers an amazing experience on the road. During your test drive, you will be able to experience the 310-horsepower, V6, 3.6-liter engine. This engine is in most trims this year, and it comes with an automatic transmission as well as either all-wheel drive or front-wheel drive. The exception to this is the RS trim level, which is equipped with a 2.0-liter, turbocharged four-cylinder gas engine.

For Traverse SUVs that have an all-wheel drive, you will be able to choose between a Twinster twin-clutch or a standard option. To add to your wonderful time on the road in your new Traverse, the SUV also is equipped with automatic start-stop technology, E10 capability, anti-lock brakes and a heavy-duty cold-cranking battery with 600 amps. With a few different powertrain and drivetrain options, it is important to test drive a few Traverse SUVs before you make a purchase.

Chevy Traverse Safety on Today's Roads

2019 Chevy TraverseSafety is a matter that Chevy takes seriously, and this is expressed through the many safety features that the automaker has included in the Traverse as standard equipment across all 2019 trims.
