The base L trim gets a number of standard equipment, including Bluetooth connectivity, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration, OnStar, 60/40-split folding rear seatbacks and a 7-inch touchscreen. A 153-horsepower, turbocharged 1.4L four-cylinder, generating 177 lb.-ft. of torque, is fitted on the latest Cruze. On the L, LS and LT, the engine comes with a six-speed manual, while the Premier gets a standard six-speed automatic (optional on LS & LT).
With the manual, the Cruze sedan delivers an EPA-estimated 32 mpg combined, 28 city and 39 highway. The automatic produces an EPA-estimated 34 mpg combined, 30 city and 40 highway on all models aside from the Premier, which offers 33 mpg combined, 29 city and 39 highway. A new Teen Driver feature is standard on the Chevy Cruze this year. It allows parents to monitor their teen's driving habits and set specific parameters to ensure they practice safe driving. Additional technologies are offered on the Driver Confidence I and Driver Confidence II packages.
