Underneath the record-setting Corvette ZR1 is a twin-turbocharged, 5.5-liter DOHC V8 engine. Chevy rates this engine at a remarkable 1,064 horsepower and 828 lb-ft of torque. Thanks to a flat-plane crankshaft, it achieves an awe-inspiring redline of 8,000 rpm. Its power is sent to the rear wheels via an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission. The Corvette ZR1 reaches 0-60 mph in just 2.3 seconds and covers the quarter-mile in 9.6 seconds.
ZTK Performance Package
The new Corvette ZR1 is a phenomenal machine, even in its unenhanced form. However, the optional ZTK Performance Package further boosts its capabilities.
