Chevrolet's rich heritage features some of the most capable trucks available. The Silverado EV ZR2 concept recently took on the legendary Mint 400 off-road challenge. This all-electric contender successfully ran the tough 73-mile circuit, showcasing its toughness. Chevrolet also campaigned its gasoline Silverado ZR2 and Colorado ZR2 in the same race.
Breathtaking Acceleration
Powered by three electric motors, the Silverado EV ZR2 generates an estimated 1,100 hp and 11,500 lb-ft of torque. It offers pulse-racing thrust and formidable hauling strength. After finishing the Mint 400, it still held 40 percent of its battery charge, highlighting its range capabilities.
Advanced Off-Road Additions
The Silverado EV ZR2 concept features specialized off-road equipment from Chevrolet. Multimatic Adaptive Spool Valve dampers deliver more than 13 inches of travel at both ends. Locking differentials maximize grip on varied surfaces, while underbody protection shields the drivetrain. Outfitted with 37-inch BF Goodrich KM3 Mud Terrain tires and a raised suspension, it's ready for any obstacle.
2026 Silverado EV Trail Boss Launches Soon
Later this summer, Chevy will release the Silverado EV Trail Boss. This off-road-ready truck comes with a factory lift, red tow hooks, 35-inch all-terrain tires, and Terrain Mode—so you can explore the wilderness without emissions.
