2018 Chevy Traverse Unveiled

Meet the completely redesigned 2018 Chevrolet Traverse. With its new exterior and interior designs, and enhanced tech and features, the best-selling SUV is back and ready to dominate. In addition to these improvements, the vehicle also offers best-in-class third-row legroom, plenty of cargo space and a slew of optional active safety gear.

“The all-new Traverse offers the ultimate in style and convenience for the segment, with the versatility customers need and a thoughtful, spacious design they’ll love,” said Alan Batey, president of GM North America and brand chief, Global Chevrolet. “It’s the midsize SUV designed to help keep you safe, comfortable and connected.”

Newly added elements on the vehicle’s outside include classy chrome accents, LED signature lighting and available D-Optic LED headlamps. Black bowties, blacked-out exterior cues and 20-inch wheels can be had on the new RS package.

New connectivity features like 7- and 8-inch diagonal MyLink infotainment systems are also optional, making it easy for you to connect to Apple CarPlay and Android Auto applications. There’s also USB charging ports in all three seating rows.

Chevy has gone to great lengths to help keep drivers even safer in the new Traverse. New available features include Low and High-Speed Forward Automatic Braking, Lane Keep Assist with Lane Departure Warning, Front Pedestrian Detection/Braking, Surround Vision and Forward Collision Alert.

The 2018 Chevy Traverse in Springfield also employs a brand-new 3.6-liter V6 engine and nine-speed automatic. Towing capacity maxes out at 5,000 pounds when properly equipped.
