You don’t have travel to Louisiana to indulge in mouthwatering Cajun food. On Saturday, April 8, from 6 – 11 p.m., you’re invited to come down to Farmers Park to experience the Queen City Sertoma Cajun Cook-Off and Carnivàle! Now in its 7th year, the event draws a wide range of foodies who are ready to have a great time.
Featuring everything Cajun from andouille and boudin to jambalaya and graton, this is one delicious event that is sure to give you the frissons! While you eat, you’ll also get to enjoy a wide range of carnival-inspired live entertainment, including music from one of the hottest bands in southern Missouri: The Mixtapes. In addition, some of the best Cajun cooks that our area has to offer will compete for the best Cajun dish. To top it off, proceeds will go toward benefiting local charities, including the Boys & Girls Clubs of Springfield.
