New exterior paint colors: Siren Red Tintcoat and Iridescent Pearl Tricoat, have been added to the roster and the Driver Alert Package has been updated to include IntelliBeam headlights, Forward Collision Alert, Safety Alert Belt, power-adjustable pedals and Lane Keep Assist. Aside from these changes, the 2016 Chevy Suburban in Springfield gains an upgraded version of Chevy MyLink that comes with Apple CarPlay capability and smartphone integration tech. A standard eight-inch color touchscreen has also been added to its list of features, which comes with 4G LTE Wi-Fi and Connected Radio.

Staying in sync with last year's model, the 2016 Chevy Suburban in Springfield offers only one engine option: an EcoTec3 5.3L V-8. Outfitted with cylinder deactivation, direct injection and continuously variable valve timing, the displacement delivers 355 horsepower and 383 lb.-ft. of torque. It's supported by a six-speed automatic transmission and has the ability to produce an EPA-estimated 16 mpg city and 23 mpg highway, which are greater ratings than those delivered on the 2015 model.
