TOGETHER, WE CAN END BREAST CANCER

Currently, 1 in 8 women will experience breast cancer in their lifetime. This is a disease that does not discriminate between gender, age or ethnicity. It has become very curable in recent years when caught early, however, this is still a health crisis that our nation is facing. Reliable Chevy has taken on the incredible honor of sponsoring this year’s Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk of Southwest Missouri. This year’s event will take place on October 19th at Hammons Field Plaza. If you’re interested in joining us, registration will begin promptly at 8:00 A.M. The walk begins at 9 A.M.

In addition, we are donating $50 for every vehicle sold during the month of October to the American Cancer Association. That means if you purchase a vehicle from us this month you'll also be contributing to this important cause.

EVERY DOLLAR WE RAISE MAKES AN IMPACT

As participants walk 3.2 miles throughout the streets of downtown Springfield, we will remember those dear to us that have passed from breast cancer. We will celebrate those that are currently fighting a battle with breast cancer and we applaud those that have been cured. After the event, there will be live music and entertainment throughout the area, a healthy snack of fresh fruit and granola, and there will be a pink out tent to help gear everyone up for our pink event. If you’re coming out for the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer event, free and convenient parking will be provided by Plaza Realty. This is the parking lot that is located directly next to Hammons Field.

THE KEY TO SAVING LIVES FROM BREAST CANCER IS YOU

Sponsors include Reliable Chevrolet, KOLR10, Price Cutter and CoxHealth. Consider making a donation to this wonderful cause. Just donating $25 could be enough to provide a wig to a breast cancer patient that is currently in treatment. A $35 donation is enough to provide two rides to and from cancer treatment. A larger donation of $500 is much appreciated, and it can get a cancer patient and their caregiver a five-night stay at an American Cancer Society Hope Lodge when they have to travel away from home in order to get their treatment. Even the smallest donation will go towards making great strides in cancer prevention and treatment.
