Fourth of July Celebrations in Springfield

fourth of july festivities in springfield, missouri

Wondering what to do for the upcoming holiday? Well, there are plenty of fun-filled activities planned in our city that will help you and your family celebrate the red, white and blue in style.

On the morning of July 4th, there will be a “Firecracker” 5k run/walk starting at 9:05 a.m. At 10 a.m., the younger ones can take part in the half-mile run. Registration for both runs will be in front of Club Fit. If either of these events doesn't pique your interests, then head on over to College Memorial Park where you can team up with others to partake in co-ed volleyball, bean bag and horseshoe tournaments starting at 1 p.m. Bean bag and horseshoe play is $20 per team, while volleyball is $60 per team. Come hungry too, as there will be food and drinks available for purchase at the concession stand. For more information and to register for any of these events, please click here.

When the day ends, make your way to Lake Springfield Marina, located at 17 Waters Edge Boulevard, to keep the fun going before the fireworks show, which starts at dusk. From 5-8 p.m., you’ll find plenty to do for the whole family to enjoy, including inflatables, a dunk tank and face painting. Wristbands are $10 each and include unlimited access to five different inflatables for kids of all ages.

We hope you have a safe and fun Fourth of July!
